Red Dot, Orange Dot, Green Dot
Many people ask me what the red, orange and green dots are at the top left of any page or window. The green dot enlarges a window to fill the screen as much as possible to view what is on the page. The orange dock minimizes a window to your dock. When you click on the orange dot it will disappear but it is really waiting for you in the dock. This is useful for when you have many pages open and don’t want to look at everything at once. When you are ready to go back to a minimized page, simply go to your dock and click on the page and it will reappear. The red dot is to close a window. When you click it the window is closed, but it does not quit the application. This is important for PC users who are used to the red x quitting an application. The red dot simply closes the page or window.
