Using Maintenance 3.8 or 3.7
Maintenance 3.8 is a wonderful program to help you with the Maintenance of your computer. It is a free application that you can download from the internet. I generally use it when I have some minor issues with my Mac, like strange behavior, or it’s running slow, or applications aren’t working properly. Go ahead and download the application. When the download is finished, click and drag it to the applications folder. When it is finished copying, click on the icon and open up the application. Say ok to the restart after it is finished. Now click on Repair permissions and then hold down the shift key and click force empty trash in order to select all of the tasks that Maintenance runs. Then click ok. Go ahead and click restart, then type in your password. Now Maintenance is running in the background. You can tell by the spinning wheel up here in the menu bar. Maintenance can take a long time to run so be patient. Also if you selected restart as I did, be ware that when Maintenance is finished it will automatically restart so be sure to save and close anything important to you. Once Maintenance has restarted then it’s all finished.
